I'm very pleased that our web site now features a ParaYoga® Teacher Directory––an invaluable resource to connect practitioners to the growing number of Level I and Level II Certified ParaYoga® Teachers.

I have trained teachers since the late 1980's, but it wasn't until about four years ago, when I first began teaching the PYMT, that I felt that I had created a program capable of developing teachers who could truly transmit the power and scope of ParaYoga®.

The process of becoming qualified to teach ParaYoga® requires a minimum of two to three years. In addition to demanding a great deal of dedication, study, and practice, applicants must also demonstrate a clear ability to expertly guide others into the practices of ParaYoga® before they are eligible to receive the designation of either Level I or Level II Certified ParaYoga® Teacher.

There are currently over a 1,000 participants in the ParaYoga® Master Training Program. But because of the length of time the program requires to complete and the length of time since its inception, the current list of Level I and Level II ParaYoga® Certified Teachers is limited.

The fall of (2007) saw fifty of the most senior ParaYogis become the first group to complete the entire PYMT. In the coming months, as each of them complete their final requirements for ParaYoga® Level I and Level II Certified status, the list of approved teachers will grow substantially.

I look forward to accrediting this extraordinary group––as well as the waves of teachers following in their footsteps––to soon officially become Level I and/or Level II Certified teachers in the ParaYoga® system. At that time the ParaYoga® Teacher directory will be available. Until that time, there are hundreds of teachers across the country who are weaving ParaYoga®'s teachings in their classes. Feel free to contact us directly regarding recommended teachers in the area.

Warmly,
Rod Stryker
